The village pond
The Old Fountain
The Old Fountain used to be 'The Fountain Inn' in Portesham over 100 years ago. Since then it has been a bakery, village stores and Post Office, now it is our lovely home where we offer bed and breakfast accommodation. The house itself is about 400 years old, but on the site of the house garden, discovered in the 1970's were some Romano British Graves, so people have inhabited this site for over 2,000 years. We are just 2 miles from the Chesil Bank, part of the World Heritage Site of the Jurassic Coast, we are surrounded by spectacular countryside, rich with pre-historic remains so whatever your interest you will find it on your doorstep here.
The house is not really suitable for young children
Attached to our house is Ann's studio, where you can view the art work, prints and cards.
